The Bar Harbor Airport was long overdue for a makeover. The need for updates to security, aesthetics, and functionality were evident. With the owner’s budget in mind, Nickerson & O’Day worked to value engineer the project and cut costs.

This expansion/restoration project included a new TSA baggage check area, larger seating area, car rental space, and law enforcement section. Creative exterior lighting enhances the natural wood grain accents incorporated throughout the facility. These improvements inform today’s modern traveler that Downeast Maine is and always will be a desirable destination. Nickerson & O’Day is proud to be a part of such an iconic landmark.
