The renovation of this iconic Bangor landmark began in April 2011. The steeple had reached a critical state of deterioration and NOD was hired to design and implement the restoration. The scope of work included repairing or replacing internal support beams, replacing belfry floor, restoration of all wooden surfaces (replacing when necessary), new heavy gauge copper roofing, replacing four clock faces, and ensuring that the entire steeple is water tight.

Work was completed without disrupting church activities or Verizon Wireless service. Verizon has four cell antennas on tower. The work was done in accordance with The National Park Service standards for the preservation of historic properties.
