Nickerson & O’Day teamed up with Bangor Housing Authority and WBRC Architects to construct these beautiful apartments in the historic Freese’s building in downtown Bangor. These units were designed to offer energy efficient downtown living at its best. LED lighting, modern studio open concept layout, and hints of brick throughout bring a modern feel with historic industrial realism.
The challenge of fitting HVAC and electrical piping through a maze of channels to the upper floor apartments was felt by all involved. Needless to say, the team came together and completed the project on time.
