This new 2900 SF full service branch of Merrill Bank is Nickerson & O’Day’s fifth project for Merrill, and the first as a Design-Builder. It was constructed by Nickerson & O’Day in under a year to allow for rapid occupancy by Merrill Bank.
Incorporating a New England-style exterior and sumptuous entry lobby and teller area, the timely completion of this branch office allows the capture of valuable market share along a major Bangor artery just as two regional competitors entered this same area. This branch continues with the distinctive Merrill color palette and features a three bay drive-thru area, high interior ceilings, large windows, and beautiful cherry trim throughout. The office spaces are functional, but private, and the teller line is designed to create “no waiting” for customers and a comfortable area for employees.
